Burgenklassik Festival Villa Musica
Five fantastic young string players from the Villa Musica will appear as part of the “Burgenklassik” series at the castle museum: the Spanish violinist Luis María Suárez Felipe and his Austrian colleague Sonja Bogner, the British violist Joon Hurh, and the cellists Lukas Plag and Oliwia Meiser from Germany and Poland. The award-winning Villa Musica virtuosos combine String Quintet in C major, D. 956 with two string trios from Hungary: the dance-like, light-footed Intermezzo by Zoltán Kodály and the cheerful, sparkling Serenade by Ernő Dohnányi, a programme perfectly suited to a gentle Sunday in May high above the Rhine.
